The combination of political discussions, but also cultural activities and social time together as a group, has been a perfect way to get to know each other’s culture as well as getting to know each person individually.

I was very excited in the days before IstKon due to the unique nature of this amazing project. It has been amazing to experience how much effort and hard work each and everyone has put in to realize this international exchange.

The idea of an intercultural exchange between students from Germany and Turkey has been highly motivating for all of us and we were full of joyful anticipation of the first day to start. And when the week finally took place, it turned out to be one of the best experiences I have witnessed so far. The combination of political discussions, but also cultural activities and social time together as a group, has been a perfect way to get to know each other’s culture as well as getting to know each person individually.

I learned a lot during this days, broadening my horizon and listening to participants having fruitful discussions about political and cultural issues. I think I can speak for all of us by saying that by the end of the week, we had transformed into a big “IstKon-family” and did not really wanted the week to end. However, I was extraordinarily excited to hear that IstKon will continue to inspire people, as the next exchange to Istanbul will take place in April 2018.

I can just advise everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and sign in for this truly outstanding project.
